This site was designed as a clearinghouse of information on agricultural producers in Rockingham County, N.C. a rural region located in the center of the state on the North Carolina/Virginia state line.   The site was designed for use by the average consumer looking to purchase locally-grown produce.

The core of the site is the searchable database offering information on 18 farms in the county, which can be queried by farm name and location. If you have particular products in mind, you can also perform a specific search to generate a list of farms that produce those items that you are looking for.

The list that is generated by the database search will contain a variety of information on the farms meeting your criteria, which is keyed in by location to the Rockingham County Farm Map. Basic contact information such as name, address, phone and e-mail are listed, in addition to more specific information on what they produce, where their products can be purchased and how they are grown, and whether or not they encourage visitors to their farm.
