2004 Business & Technology Center Project Planning Schedule (Revised April 27, 2004)

Prior to May 3              

Project Chair/Co Chairs are identified. 

                                    Community Meeting is held to inform the community about the Business & Technology Center Project. 

                                    Leadership Team meets to review the project planning document, appoint
committees and chairs, and appoint the stakeholders group  members and chair.  

                                    The Outreach and Engagement Committee and the BTC Programs Committee
meet.

                                    Initial visits to BTC’s in Alleghany and Martin Counties.

May 20                         Programs Committee meets from 2pm – 4pm.

Effective June 1, 2004, all meetings will be held in the Advanced Technologies Building 
on the RCC Campus either in Room 105 for Programs 
or 103 for all other committees.

                                    *****At this meeting, Leadership Team Committee Chairs will 
present drafts of their committee plans.

Oct. 26- Nov. 15             Staff will work with Leadership Team, including Committee Chairs, to 
finalize Core Project Plans and Documents.

Nov. 15 – Jan. 15            A major public event will held during this time to publicize the 
accomplishments of the Core Planning Project and plans for the 
Rockingham Business and Technology BTC.

                                    Plans for the specific nature of this event will develop as we move through 
the planning process. However, it should be attention-getting, fun, 
informative, and inclusive of the entire community.
