2009 Reappraisal Information

By decision of the Rockingham County Board of Commissioners, the 2009 Real Property Reappraisal has been rescheduled to January, 2011.

As result, the tax bill you receive in August 2009 will reflect the real property assessed value that was in effect for 2008.  Exceptions will be changes made to real property in 2008 that affect the 2009 value, such as new construction or changes resulting from recorded documents.  Any change in appraised value will reflect the Schedule of Values adopted for the reappraisal cycle beginning January 1, 2003. 

Please disregard any prior 2009 Reappraisal Notice of Value you have received. 

Welcome to Rockingham County Tax Administration website.  It is our goal to provide you with quick, easy access to public information regarding property assessments and billing information.  We have developed this website access for ease of use for both taxpayers and business professionals. 

By using the Real Property Record Search function located above, you can find real property characteristic information such as location, square footage, land and building value.  By using the tabs at the top of the page, you find a direct link to the deed for that parcel, sales information for that neighborhood, property record card, tax map, and a link to the tax bill.

Please note that information on only one building is displayed. Some parcels may contain multiple buildings.  Because of limitations in space we only show one.  To obtain more complete information on all structures, please use the tab showing the property record card.  You may also see dimensions of the building by clicking the sketch tab.

By using Tax Bill Search located above, you can access account payment history, Pay your bill by credit card or eCheck, create a payment cart to pay several bills at once and print a receipt for your records.
