Effective January 23, 2017
The Rockingham County Register of Deeds office implemented the practice of returning documents at the time of recordation. We understand that this new practice will result in some changes to long standing practices, but the need to cut any and all extra expenses makes this change necessary. We ask for your understanding and cooperation as we attempt to lower our operating cost to the Rockingham County tax payer.
From this point forward, we request you provide a self-addressed envelope at the time of the recording in order to return your document to the appropriate destination and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
