Currently we employ 38 full-time and 46 part-time field personnel working at the Paramedic or EMT levels. Full-time employees work 24-hour shifts with 48 hours off, except for Reidsville Base employees, who work 12 hour shifts.  Part-time employees are scheduled to fill hours for full time employees who are off with vacation or sick leave, staff the Prime-Time Unit (M-F 8:00am-4:00pm) and to help fill openings generated by attrition. All of our employees must pass written and hands on testing, psychological evaluations and a drug screening, in addition to a physical agility test, in order to be considered for employment.
